My name is Chris Davenport and I’m the author of this blog. I work as the Director of Construction Cost Management for Church Development Fund, Inc. We are the select lender for Independent Christian Churches and Churches of Christ within the Restoration Movement.
My focus is on churches and helping them through the sometimes irksome, but always exciting, task of a church building project. Depending on the where in the process I enter, I strive to help the church discover their vision and put it on paper as a plan. Then I then help them realize that plan with proper help from an Architect and a Builder, all while making sure that their vision is in line with their budget.
From time to time I come across churches that do things out of the ordinary, some times extraordinary, and I try to share those successes with others. This is the forum in which I will try to do so.
